Less suffering, more slander

An article online entitled 'A Look at the Positive Side of Price-Gouging and Greed' is intended to argue against "bashing companies" (in the wake of expolitative behviour by them after the recent hurricane). However it is more successful in highlighting the absence of civic responsibility from their calculations, a demonstration of corporate myopia in the face of tragedy, complete with rationales like "greed means less suffering" and the pure doublethink of equations like "letting the companies charge higher prices actually reduces customers total costs".

A parallel article applies the same effort in the same context against 'environmental extremists' percieved as 'exploit(ing) the death and devastation' after the storm - an insidious attempt at hyperbole that is itself exploiting the event. It seems the denial of global warming takes precedence over dealing with reality.
