Don't mention the logging

Legal action against a selection of environmentalists has been re-filed, with a spokesperson for the Forest Industries Association of Tasmania stating that:

"Gunns allege the law has been broken as people allegedly are endeavouring to express their personal opinion about the company"
Some may see this as supporting business, others may recognise attempts to stifle free speech by effectively placing corporations above the law. This goes to the heart of the right to dissent - does any company have a right not to be criticised? Corporations are also being called out for "greenwashing" their products and reputations, with marketing claims that do not match the reality of their operations. Regarding the word of a company as inviolable could have very dangerous consequences, not the least for the environment.
