It's take over day for Man of Steel's "government" at the Senate, and the curtain is already falling on accountability.

There are still moments of national sanity, however. A University Professor has very notably put before the public the warning that "overemphasis on the risk of terrorism by politicians and the media is making the public paranoid and increasing the risk of an attack", offering the important observation that "terrorism is in the deception that they're everywhere". In recent times, this "deception" has been played out both by Australia's political conservatives and by those assuming responsibility for acts of terror abroad.
