Solving the greenhouse problem with insults and uranium The moderate Australian government has finally been persuaded that "climate change", that is, global warming, is a reality that no longer can be avoided, indeed even admitting "we're not doing enough". A resounding defeat for a vacuous ideology that has spent more time defaming critics than dealing with reality for the last 10 years - but not a victory. Especially not with a secret deal to sideline Kyoto underway, and ongoing Minsterial comments like "it would be silly and xenophobic for Australia to refuse to export uranium on ideological grounds". Yet again, more effort is spent on criticism than reality, which does not bode well for future efforts: the term "xenophobic" is a calculated insult of those who oppose nuclear energy on principle. Insults and uranium will not deal with the issues. Comments:
