Mentioned in chat rooms

According to reports the language of "war on terror" is being retired by the Bush Junta in favour of spruiking "a global struggle against violent extremism" that focuses on ideology over militarism. One is lead to suspect that after 4 years, they are finally realising that America's one-sided campaigning has only alienated people.

This is clearly only a shift in PR angles however, as even Rumsfeld's spokesman reportedly says the change in language "is not a shift in thinking, but a continuation of the immediate post 9/11 approach." Which almost implies this is but the latest phase in a long-term strategy which, to be so well planned as to require language changes at a precise timing point, could hardly be called "immediate" to 9/11.

Meanwhile, you may make of this what you will:

"Israeli agents who monitor jihadist chatrooms had issued a warning to Australia at a conference in Turkey last month.

"It's a good source I have got it from. Australia is definitely, regularly mentioned by the chat rooms"
says an academic. Though unsourced, The Age offers the Gold Coast as "a clear and easy target". Efforts to drive the fear of an attack are escalating, as is the probability that somebody will attempt one. Man of Steel reckons "you try and have a society where there are no closed no-go enclaves, where there are no groups in the community that are impenetrable". While "no closed no-go enclaves" is laughable grammar, the word "impenetrable" should be cause for reflection.
