"Decertification" of White House journalists seems to tie in with the push to discredit Blog reporting, both aimed at marginalising commentary from "people who are already invested in having a different view". The end result from both is that credibility is dispensed by those who ought to be under scrutiny, thus ensuring the public is kept as uninformed as possible. Now the Whitehouse Chief of Staff doesn't believe in journalism having a "check-and-balance function". [Oh yes, this is the same administration that champions a "free press" as a vital part of "democracy".] Unaccountability is spreading like a virus, faster every day. And the perpetrators of state hypocrisy know exactly what they are doing - credibility has clearly become a commodity. Comments:
