One man's unethical behaviour is another man's marketing ploy Worthy SMH item on the coining of the TLA "FUD" and Microsoft's use of the fear, uncertainty, doubt principle. Also points out that apparent OS antagonist Microsoft president Steve Ballmer "is even on record as saying that open-source is a threat to the American way". Curiously makes pains to point out "FUD is not in itself illegal" before left-turning for an almost "Greed is Good" style of homily: "one man's unethical behaviour is another man's sharp marketing ploy".
