A year in the life

Pixelated Semantics has turned One - with over 35,000 words written and updates settled into a more or less weekly pattern. Appreciation is extended to all readers, particularly to those who participate with comments and feedback. Highlights have included the widespread syndication of the peice on internet "worms", publishing many stories, such as those on tasers and reports of torture in US detention centres, that frequently appear ahead of the Australian media by several weeks, and being acknowledged as a "must read" site by Australian Weblogs. Appreciation is also due to Blogger's excellent interface and robust service and generally non-intrusive advertising. Finally, as (in Australia) we are currently in the middle of an election campaign, I'm taking the opportunity to say: if you cannot trust elected representatives to honestly represent or conduct themselves ethically, then why vote for them on the basis of apparent economic management?.
