In what may seem like a post-modern joke, an event that occurred 30 years ago is now a "cultural heritage icon". 'Cyclone Tracy' has been named as one of the Northern Territory's nine National Trust cultural heritage icons. How an 'icon' can be created from a weather event in the past, thereby lacking any corporeal presence, is a mysterious notion. Comments:
