Pixelated Semantics |

Name calling like declaring war Kofi Annan put his eloquence to good use over the weekend, giving a thought-provoking talk on the semantics of 'evil' to a church conference. Observing that
"Thinking of people as 'evil' can lead us to become evil or, at least to do evil, ourselves... It is too absolute. It seems to cut off any possibility of redemption, of dialogue or even coexistence"Annan seems to be one of the few 'leaders' at present avoiding demagogery or totalitarian "newspeak"-style media monoculture.
