Counterpunch has a well-researched article that underlines many of the issues previously discussed here (see "Horrid Truth" for instance) in relation to media coverage of "anti-semitism" and relative newsworthiness of "hate crimes". The article's author makes some critical points, backed up by careful analysis: "newspapers express and convey their values more in the extent of their coverage than in its contents." In conclusion he asks exasperatedly "Are your newspapers like mine?" - to which the answer is, probably yes. (After all, they are quite possibly owned by the same people.)
