Songcrime: hum along to the Thought Police's Greatest Hits

Well now we absolutely know where the Australian government's commitment to free speech lies: a women's choir performing in the foyer of the Parliament this afternoon has been banned from performing songs about the Iraq war and any other songs about "personal and political freedoms". The choir decided to hum the lyrics instead, their mouths gagged shut.

"Personal and political freedoms" are obviously not rights. So hum along now, boys and girls, why don't we try "As the veneer of democracy starts to fade" [ by Mark Stewart ].
