Bush: "I'm really not worthy"

Quoting out of context is a common trait for the media, but in this instance, GW Bush actually did say "I'm really not worthy to stand here" during a visit to the "predominantly black" Union Bethel African Methodist Episcopal church in New Orleans. Several hundred protesters earlier had loudly booed him yesterday, from behind a "protective barrier" that separates dissidents from supporters, as he laid a wreath at the grave of civil rights leader Martin Luther King in Atlanta. When he visited the church, he told the congregation "I'm really not worthy to stand here, when I think about the fact that ... this is the very place where Martin Luther King stood, as well, some 42 years ago." I think its most appropriate to let the man speak for himself, don't you?

Perhaps too the weight of "unworthiness" is being increased by the lawsuit recently filed against GW under racketeering laws. While MSNBC apparently decided that the "unworthiness" was not worthy of even mentioning in it's coverage, and instead focused on reportage of GW spruiking "Faith-based" government.

Meanwhile in the Land of Oz, Man of Steel is no doubt being given his latest orders from Head Office during a low-profile visit from the United States' highest ranking military officer. It is now "recklessly negligent" to not blindly follow the American Way, apparently, especially when it comes to participating in a new arms race and other unpopular military adventures.
