How piety can kill

The Catholic Church is telling the faithful that "AIDS...has grown so fast because of the availability of condoms." Effectively, that condoms can kill.

The church is preaching that fatal diseases should be left to spread, and that overpopulation is acceptible, because it thinks that contraception encourages people to f^ck.

Seeing that AIDS has now killed more than 20 million people, and currently affects at least 42 million, it is not hard to see the Catholic "morality" as dangerous to human wellbeing. The story's opening line even states "The lives of Roman Catholics in some of the countries worst hit by HIV/AIDS are being put at even greater risk by advice from their churches..."
